I was inspired by the Women, Life, Freedom movement started in 2022 in Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini, a young Iranian woman arrested by the morality police for not wearing hijab correctly. This graphic book - my final year project - explores the theme of women's rights in Iran through a series of historical timelines and intimate interviews with real women from Iran.
The book design combines impactful typography, thoughtful layout, and bold visual imagery to amplify their voices and stories; each page reflecting the individuality and strength of the women featured.
The project merges print media with strong design principles to create a compelling, visually rich narrative that celebrates women's resilience and continuing advocacy for their rights in Iran.
